We are currently seeking a passionate and dynamic Science Teacher to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage and inspire students in the fascinating world of science, preparing them for future success in their academic and personal lives.  

Key Accountabilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and challenging science lessons in line with the school's curriculum and standards
  • Evaluate and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and parents
  • Participate in school training sessions and parent-teacher meetings.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued, respected, and safe.

Safeguarding Responsibilities

  • To comply with safeguarding policies, procedures, and code of conduct
  • Provide comprehensive pastoral care, supporting students' emotional and social well-being, and create a nurturing homeroom environment where every student feels valued, understood, and empowered to overcome personal challenges and achieve their full potential.
  • To engage in safeguarding training when required

Qualifications & Experience

  • Valid science teaching qualification for students aged 11 to 18
  • Bachelor’s degree in science or any related field.  
  • Ability to teach mathematics would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of teaching iGCSE and A-Level, or experience of teaching equivalent advanced courses. 
  • Design and deliver extra curricular science or STEM based activities afterschool
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both orally and written in English
  • Knowledge of Swiss German Culture and German would be an advantage, but not absolute requirement
