Profile:

We are looking for a dedicated German Teacher (preferably a native speaker) to join our secondary school team. In this role, you will play a vital role in shaping our students' language skills and fostering a dynamic learning environment. With a focus on maximizing language proficiency and adapting to individual needs, you will work with the Modern and Foreign Language Department to deliver engaging lessons. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the language education of our German native speakers, teaching German primarily at the secondary level, with the possibility to expand to our high school and prepare students for German as a second language diplomas, including IGCSE and/or AS/A level.

Responsibilities:

Teaching:

  • Conduct engaging German language classes primarily at the secondary level.
  • Emphasize German as a first language, ensuring students develop strong language skills.
  • Provide support to students preparing for German as a second language diplomas, including IGCSE and/or AS/A level.
  • Foster a supportive and interactive learning atmosphere.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with the Modern and Foreign Language Department to align curriculum goals.
  • Work with colleagues to prepare students for German language examinations.

Skills Required:

  • A high level of creativity and adaptability.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and German.
  • Visionary, proactive, and self-motivated.
  • Strong team player with good communication skills.
  • Familiarity with the Learnplan 21 curriculum for German is preferable.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience teaching German.
  • Subject-specific degree or Bachelor’s/Master’s degree from a university of applied science (Communication, German studies).
